Why do couples choose Plaza de la Fontana for their ceremony?
Location, location, location – Plaza de la Fontana sits at the center of the resort and is just a short walk from Mission Inn’s guestrooms, pool and registration area.
Not like other central Florida venues – The architecture surrounding Plaza de la Fontana allows couples the feeling of an exotic destination wedding, without needing to leave the country.
Naturally beautiful – Plaza de la Fontana’s gardens are maintained all year round, so it always looks great. With all of this natural beauty, you don’t have to worry about adding in lots of extra décor and floral for ceremony (although you can, if you want to).
Maximum Occupancy – Plaza de la Fontana can hold up to 300 guests seated for your outdoor wedding ceremony.
Portrait Locations – When you choose Plaza de la Fontana for your ceremony, the portrait opportunities are nearly endless. Portraits can be done on and around Plaza de la Fontana or in Plaza de las Palmas. The couple can also go via golf cart to the gorgeous Mission Inn waterfall, or to one of our historic stone bridges or to sunset bridge, or if time allows, all three!
Sunset – The iconic white balcony at Plaza de la Fontana is western facing. This means that the sun is setting right behind the ceremony, making for fabulous pictures.
Cocktail Hour and Reception Space – Morning ceremonies on Plaza de la Fontana will head to Patio del Sol and El Conquistador for a brunch reception. Afternoon and evening ceremonies of 160 guests or less that begin in Plaza de la Fontana will enjoy cocktail hour in Plaza de las Palmas and then party the night away in La Hacienda. For larger affairs, cocktail hour can be held in either Plaza de las Palmas or in the Grand Ballroom foyer with reception to follow in the Grand Ballroom.
When we got engaged, we looked at several options in the Central Florida area, but we felt that Mission Inn had the best value of them all - a beautiful venue, great food, comfortable rooms for out-of-town guests, and wonderful service at a reasonable price. We had our wedding at the Plaza, and we were thrilled with the whole experience.
Mission is a unique place, and as a romantic bride, I fell in love with Plaza de La Fontana at the moment I stepped in, the stunning views, the Spanish architecture and the impeccable grounds got me sold on our first visit.
My husband and I got married at Mission Inn this past October and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out! The moment we walked out to the Plaza de la Fontana and saw that amazing view we knew that this had to be our venue and had to book it right away (even though we were a year and a half out!).
Plaza de la Fontana courtyard is surrounded by European inspired architecture and blossoming gardens. The majestic fountain centerpiece will make you feel like royalty on wedding day.
