Sweet Summertime Wedding at Mission Inn

Kristen & Andrew’s Sweet Summertime Wedding at Mission Inn Resort and Club

Kristen and Andrew first toured Mission Inn Resort in April 2019. They recall being immediately impressed, saying the following: “We had toured quite a few places already and really hadn’t found anything that would work for our large guest count. Jessica took the time to get to know us and our story, showed us all around the property, and answered our endless list of questions. The venue is so beautiful and huge! They had lots of options for ceremony and reception spaces for all different guests counts. Plus it is a resort, so all of our out of town guests had a place to spend the weekend comfortably.”

Unfortunately, Kristen and Andrew did have to do some date rescheduling due to the 2020 uncertainty. We were happy to work with them to make the process easy and accommodate any changes that may have come with the new date.

Kristen and Andrew got ready in their respective suites with their loved ones – and then shared the sweetest first look in Plaza de las Palmas.

Nothing is more stunning than a sunset ceremony on Plaza de la Fontana. All of Kristen and Andrews loved ones gathered to watch the lovebirds tie the knot in their beautiful outdoor ceremony. Bathed in golden light, the newlyweds shared their first kiss as husband and wife and then made their way back down the aisle.

It’s clear that Kristen and Andrew were surrounded by an abundance of love on their big day. Their wedding party was fun-loving and supportive, the perfect combination for those you choose to stand by your side on the most important day of your life.

Kristen and Andrew had endless options for photo backdrops, all over Mission Inn Resort.

Kristen shared the following regarding the outcome of her wedding: “The wedding weekend was absolutely flawless! We had our rehearsal dinner on Friday night at Legends. It was set up beautifully and executed smoothly by Nelson. He was so professional and friendly, we were glad to have him the next night at the reception! The food was delicious, the staff was amazing, and everyone had a great time! We continued the celebration at the La Margarita Lounge – our guests loved the outdoor patio area with fire pits.

Our wedding day was spectacular. The entire day ran so smoothly and my husband and I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. The ceremony was in Plaza de la Fontana and was the perfect backdrop. The cocktail hour was in Plaza de las Palmas, which basically looks like a garden and has market lighting strung throughout. We had our reception in the Grand Ballroom – which was decorated perfectly and looked so elegant.

The staff was absolutely incredible. So many of our guests kept telling us how amazing the service was – all the servers, bartenders, and wedding team. They even made sure that my husband and I got to have some of our cocktail hour appetizers since we were away taking photos and that we always had cocktails. Our pictures turned out amazing – the property has so many wonderful and completely different places to take photos. It’s definitely not your typical golf course/resort! Everything at the Mission Inn far exceeded our expectations – our wedding really was a dream come true!”

Ballroom Reception at Mission Inn Resort near Orlando, FL:

About the Couple & the Wedding:

Claire and Will met while working in law offices in Washington D.C. Both the bride and groom came from law families and studied at rival schools. The couple chose to have the wedding in Claire’s home state of Florida. When looking for the perfect venue for their wedding day, Claire and Will wanted a venue that could accommodate all of their out of town guests.

The couple hosted a welcome reception and rehearsal dinner at Mission Inn’s Marina del Rey to kick off the weekend’s festivities. On wedding day the wedding party all got ready at the Resort and traveled to the Annunciation Church in Altamonte for the wedding. Following the ceremony guests returned to the resort for cocktail hour at Mission Inn’s Plaza de las Palmas, while the newlyweds took photos around the resort.  Before opening the reception up to their guests, Will and Claire snuck into the Grand Ballroom for a sneak peek at the ballroom and for a moment alone. Will surprised Claire with a private first cocktail together, a Sazerac, Claire’s favorite.

Claire and Will exited the ballroom and guests were sat. Wedding party entered the room full of excitement, dancing across the dance floor as they came in. Will and Claire surprised guests with a choreographed first dance, then Claire surprised guests again as she turned on her awesome light-up dancing shoes for her father-daughter dance.

Kind Words from the Mother of the Bride:

Our daughter and her now-husband had their rehearsal dinner at the marina, the cocktail reception at the Plaza de las Palmas, the wedding reception in the main ballroom and a Sunday breakfast in a reserved room. All venues were terrific and the hotel staff was accommodating to our many out-of-town guests. We all enjoyed the long weekend!

Ceremony: Plaza de la Fontana
Reception: The Grand Ballroom

Stephanie and Joe said “I Do” on a Friday in May at the outdoor garden wedding ceremony location, Plaza de la Fontana.  The couple chose to accent the natural beauty of the plaza by choosing shades of pinks and purples.  The bride wore a natural waist, sweetheart dress which was classic, elegant, and modern. The groom wore a light grey tuxedo which worked will with the spring colors.  Guests enjoyed cocktails in Plaza de las Palmas while the couple took some stunning outdoor wedding photos through the property.  The wedding reception was held in the Grand Ballroom.  The room was highlighted with pink up-lights and simple elegant centerpieces on the tables.  The couple then danced the night away with their friends and family!

Words from the Couple:  I could not have picked a better venue for my wedding!! It’s been months since my wedding and our friends and family still bring up how beautiful and fun our wedding was. The staff was so great and accommodating, our venue coordinator was literally a godsend!  The food was fantastic, and I have not been to very many weddings where I felt the food was that good. Any little issues that popped up throughout the weekend were taken care of IMMEDIATELY and for that I am truly grateful! The whole weekend was nothing short of dream and I couldn’t thank the staff at Mission Inn enough for the awesome job they did!!
